Day 236 of 365 Days With God

We should have frequent recourse to prayer, and persevere a long time in it. God wishes to be solicited. He is not weary of hearing us.  The treasure of His graces is infinite. We can do nothing more pleasing to him than to beg incessantly that He bestow them upon us.

—  St. John Baptist de la Salle

Day 234 of 365 Days With God

We need no wings to go in search of Him, but have only to find a place where we can be alone and look upon Him present within us.

—  St Teresa of Avila

Day 231 of 365 Days With God

The rosary is said not with the lips alone, muttering Hail Marys one after the other. … For a Christian vocal prayer must spring from the heart, so that while the rosary is said, the mind can enter into contemplation of each one of the mysteries.

— St. Josemaria Escriva

Day 228 of 365 Days with God

If we love God and are faithful to Him, we shall be at peace, and this peace will endure.

— St. Madeline Sophie Barat

Day 220 of 365 Days With God

Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock  I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

—  Matt. 16:16-19

Day 213 of 365 Days With God

Let each one remember that he will make progress in all spiritual things only insofar as he rids himself of self-love, self-will, and self-interest.

— St. Ignatius of Loyola

Day 146 of 365 Days of God

Today is the Annual March For Life in Washington, D.C. Hundreds of Thousands of souls will stand up for the innocent unborn who have no voice. God’s most precious gift to each one of us is life, and for that gift we praise and thank him.

Throughout your day today please join millions across this globe in praying for an end to abortion. The sanctity and protection of all human life should be the up-most of importance to all of us. Each and every life (born or unborn)  is valuable to God.

Day 121 of 365 Days With God

Christmas Eve Blessing/All Are Welcome

Rejoice, The Son of God has come to Earth as Savior for all mankind.  I pray that you are joyous with expectation to meet the Infant Child Jesus in the Manger on this night. The greatest gift we can bring to our Lord this Christmas, is the purity of our welcoming hearts.  When we invite Jesus to come in under our roof in faith and with love, we are transformed.

I pray that you are filled with the anointing of the Holy Spirit as you accept the many gifts He wishes to give to you. I pray you accept His mercy and forgiveness. I pray that you believe that He is enough for you. I pray that you allow Him to do a much needed work in you, and I pray that you are filled with hope so that you can become hope to a lost and hurting world.

As we come to the Manger and meet the Infant Child Jesus, may we come to Him in humility and gratitude; may our hearts be open and our will, pliable.

The King of Kings would come into this world quietly, vulnerably, and sharing in our humanity. Jesus knew what it was to be human. He knew what it  was to be cold, wet, and hungry. He grew to understand what it was to be lonely, disappointed, scared, discouraged, and in pain. How could we not identify with the One who has identified so completely with us, with the exception of sin. Tonight as we come to the Child Jesus with our own child-like hearts, we will find great peace.  Come to the Manger,  fall to your knees, and welcome your Savior to the World.

May the peace of Our Lord transform our hearts, our families, this nation, and the world.

All men are called to belong to the new People of  God.  This People, therefore, while remaining one and only one, is to be spread  throughout the whole world and to all ages in order that the design of God’s  will may be fulfilled: he made human nature one in the beginning and has decreed  that all his children who were scattered should be finally gathered together as  one… The character of universality which adorns the People of God is a gift  from the Lord Himself whereby the Catholic Church ceaselessly and efficaciously  seeks for the return of all humanity and all its goods, under Christ the Head in  the unity of His Spirit.
